North Bay AVS Design was founded by Jon Mueller in 2004. With the addition of Jon’s father, Don Mueller, as head of sales, the company took off and was listed in a leading national publication dedicated to AV & Surveillance Design, CE Pro, as a top 100 company out of 25,000 companies in the United States.
In 2015, North Bay AVS Design expanded our company to create a new division dedicated to Surveillance and Fire Alarm system design and installation. This division is headed by Matt Deiner.
Although Don has since retired and moved on to Hawaii, both Jon and Matt look forward to helping you with the design and installation of security systems, fire alarms, and A/V surveillance. Let North Bay AVS Design protect your investment.
Jon. Mueller – Owner / President
Jon Mueller is the founder and President of North Bay AVS Design. He developed an interest in electronics at an early age while living in Hawaii. He ventured into installing surveillance systems and building first-generation DVRs, the first generation of closed-circuit television (CCTV) to provide remote access.
In 1999, Jon left Hawaii for California where he worked as the lead CCTV technician for Pacific Technologies, which provided all Northern California Safeway stores with surveillance systems. After several years Jon left Pacific Technologies to work for ESP & Alarms in Santa Rosa as a lead security alarm and surveillance installer. ESP & Alarms had an exceptional reputation for their work with school districts and North Bay businesses.
An opportunity to return to Hawaii placed him as Operations Manager for Secure View System. He tackled several short-term but rather large projects before returning to California to secure his California State Contractor’s License before opening the doors to North Bay AVS Design in 2004.
Harold Govan
Fire Alarm Systems & Senior Tech
Harold Govan has worked in the Fire Alarm industry since 1988.
He has worked for Santa Rosa Fire Equipment for over 23 years and has been factory-certified several times. Harold also holds the California Fire / Life / Safety Blue Card.
Phil Weinstein
Security Systems & Surveillance Tech
Phil Weinstein has been in the security industry his entire life due to his dad owning a guard and alarm company.
Phil was also Jon’s apprentice at E.S.P. & Alarms in 2001 and 2002 and part of Jon’s team at Secure View Systems in Hawaii.
